CK’s evidence-based curriculum teaches strategies to enhance focus, respect personal space, and make better choices. Attendees will learn how to help students manage stress, practice effective breathing for self-regulation, and cultivate relaxation techniques. Additionally, participants will find these calming techniques valuable for their own well-being, allowing them to model mindfulness for students.
- Friday night, September 26 6-8 pm Eastern Time / 4-6 pm Mountain Time = 2 hours
- Saturday, September 27 10 am – 6 pm / 8 am – 4 pm Mountain Time (w/one hour lunch) = 7 hours
- Sunday, September 28 10 am – 6 pm / 8 am – 4 pm Mountain Time (w/one hour lunch) = 7 hours

- How to choose effective movement routines for teens.
- A Classical Yoga Therapy model as a reliable method for teaching teens.
- Strategies for integrating the program into classrooms, PE rooms, studios, or youth centers.
- Age-appropriate breathing practices.
- Relaxation techniques and mindfulness strategies to support mental health.
- Wellness education for both students and teachers.
- Access to handouts and downloadable resources.
This Training is being instructed LIVE in Boulder, Colorado or online on Zoom for Teen Educators
- Participants must teach a minimum of 6 classes using the CK the program
- Document your teaching and experience in a journal
- Meet with the main instructor for review and feedback

Shakti Devi Dee, MA, CYT has a master’s degree in child and Motor development from NYU and is a certified health & wellness instructor from the American College of Sports Medicine. She is a certified yoga teacher and yoga therapist working with all ages and abilities for the past 39 years. Creator and Director of CALMING KIDS(CK): Creating a Non-Violent World, a non-profit organization that teaches evidence-based yoga and mindfulness programs for students, teachers, health providers and families, since 2004. Dee is the SAVE (Stop America’s Violence Everywhere) Ambassador for the State of Colorado as designated by the American Medical Association Alliance.
